Hi! I'm Rita Arguelles a freelance illustrator, background artist, and cartoonist based in Mexico City and graduated from UNIVA in Guadalajara, Mexico.

My work focuses on creating immersive worlds and narratives, it is also inspired by the art movements of the mid 20th century, as well as the cyclical nature of history echoing in our present.

 

I am always interested in working on LGBT focused, urban/slice-of-life stories in any medium.

I am currently as a BG designer at SpindleHorse Toons on Helluva Boss, having worked in the past 6 years with companies including HBO Max (The Prince, La Vida Secreta de Tu Mente ), Mighty Animation, Star Wars (Galactic Pals) , Present Creative, Mattel (Polly Pocket & Friends), and WildBrain (Animal Mechanicals).
